Ropeflow Workshops, Brighton

In July we are putting on 4 different workshops at Bishop Hannington Youth & Community Centre on 38 Holmes Ave, Brighton and Hove, Hove BN3 7LD. A lovely spacious venue with plenty of room and wonderfully high ceilings!! (Hard to come by in Brighton believe it or not)

July 11th, 9am-10:45am: Beginners Workshop

– For complete beginners and people near the start of their ropeflow journey
– Focusing on everything you need to know for a good base in ropeflow. The essential building blocks to flow
– Patterns like the Race and Chase, Dragon Roll, Matadors, Cheetah’s tail.

July 11th 11am-12:45pm: Intermediate Workshop
– For people who have learned the main fundamentals (Race and Chase, Dragon Roll, Matadors, Cheetah’s tail) and are looking to deepen their practice.
– Will focus on Sneaks, transitions, gaining knowledge and confidence to start freeflowing.

July 18th 9am-10:45am: Releases Workshop
– For people who have a solid understanding and can execute the fundamental moves with relative ease.
– Will focus on different types of releases. Floats and rope dart releases and how to use them to vary your flow, as well as an introduction to the Mic release.

July 18th 11am-12:45pm:  Footwork and Travelling Drills workshop
– For people who have a solid understanding and can execute the fundamental moves with relative ease.
– Will focus on different combinations of footwork and what patterns they pair well with. Footwork is an often underlooked element of ropeflow and some focused work on this can really enhance and elevate the feel and the look of your flow.

It is £25 per workshop. There will be ropes available to try/buy as well. You are more than welcome to come to more than one workshop!
